Your mission
Our R&D; Control Systems team is looking for a talented Test Engineer to join us on site in Minerbio, Italy. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of embedded systems of HIAB loader cranes by designing and implementing comprehensive testing strategies. As part of our experienced international team, you’ll have the chance to work with new technologies and contribute to the development of cutting‑edge products and industry trends in the safe load handling equipment sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse system and software requirements
- Design and implement test plans, test cases, and scripts (manual and automated) targeting embedded software
- Conduct verification tests in a simulated and real environment
- Document test results, perform root‑cause analysis, and report identified defects with clarity
- Collaborate with firmware developers and hardware engineers during defect resolution and feature verification
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using scripting languages (e.g. Python) integrated into CI/CD tools like Jenkins or TeamCity
- Contribute to continuous improvement in test methods and QA best practices
- Support various development and operational tasks of control systems development such as requirements engineering, modeling and system simulation.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Quality control or equivalent
- Experience in embedded software testing, firmware QA, or hardware‑test environments
- Experience with C, C++ and Python programming languages. Experience with Matlab and Simulink
- Familiarity with Agile workflows and test management tools (e.g., Jira)
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and communication abilities with a strong attention to detail
- A team player, willing to learn and share knowledge
- ISTQB Foundation Level is an advantage
- Fluent written and spoken English and Italian
