This internship is designed as a potential pathway to full-time employment. Interns who demonstrate strong performance throughout their internship and are successful upon completion may be considered for a full-time Engineering Operations Technician position, subject to available open roles and business needs at that time. /p pWe are targeting two candidate profiles: /p h3Candidate Profile 1: Recent 2025 Graduates /h3 pIf you have recently graduated (or are due to graduate by early 2026) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, this opportunity is for you. Upon successful completion of your 12-week internship, you may transition directly into a full-time role. /p h3Candidate Profile 2: Final-Year Students (Graduating 2026) /h3 pIf you are currently in your final year of studies in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, we want to hear from you. Upon successful completion of your 12-week internship, you may commence as a full-time employee by the end of 2026, aligned with your graduation. /p pInternship start dates are flexible from April to October 2026. This position involves ensuring that the data center's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems operate at 100% availability while maintaining first‑class customer service to the teams and groups within the data centers. All interns will be exposed to both independent work and team‑based collaboration. Work prioritisation, organisational skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly are critical to being successful. /p h3Duties Responsibilities /h3 ul liMaintain mechanical and electrical equipment /li liAssist with root cause analysis of equipment failures /li liAssist in troubleshooting of facility and rack‑level events within internal SLA /li liTake daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment /li liUtilise internal CMMS to manage building workflows /li liInteract with third‑party vendors and contractors who are working on site /li /ul h3Physical Requirements /h3 ul liWork at heights and from ladders /li liRegularly lift and/or move up to 49 pounds unassisted and participate in group lifts for 50 pounds or more /li liUse hands to manipulate small wires and objects /li /ul h3Internship Structure /h3 pAmazon internships are full‑time (40 hours per week) for 12 consecutive weeks. The position requires the intern to report to work onsite on a daily basis.
