Our client, a full-range supplier in the automotive coatings market, is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager to join their team. As a Regulatory Affairs Manager, you will be part of the management team supporting the business and functional teams. The ideal candidate will possess management leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle complex issues, aligning successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Regulatory Affairs Manager Location: Lansing, IL Pay Range: $87k to $145K What’s the Job?
* Manage hazard communication compliance (GHS). Maintain and update regulatory systems for authoring SDSs, labels, and regulatory content with changing regulations.
* Coordinate the submission of automotive IMDS requests.
* Submit and maintain the CSAT Site Vulnerability Assessment (SVA) and Site Security Plan (SSP) under DHS.
* Prepare and ensure timely submission of environmental reports to government agencies, including Tier II, TRI, Title V, and RCRA. Manage these activities with consulting services.
* Manage the process for proper hazardous waste disposal in compliance with EPA regulations.
What’s Needed?
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related safety/environmental safety field.
* 7+ years of progressive experience in Regulatory Affairs, Product Stewardship, or EHS department at an industrial or manufacturing facility.
* Working knowledge of regulations and standards such as GHS, FDA, TSCA, CEPA, DSL, FIFRA, RCRA, etc.
* Experience with SDS authoring systems and ERP management.
* Experience with 5S, continuous improvement processes, and ISO management systems is strongly preferred.
