Leading international school in the north region of Italy, catering to students from ages 1 to 18, is looking for an IB DP Coordinator. Reporting to the Head of School, this role is crucial for the successful implementation and ongoing management of the IB DP programme, ensuring that both students and teachers are supported in achieving high standards. Functions General Administration Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality of teaching and learning, ensuring it meets IB standards. Effective Administration: Ensure the smooth operation of the IB DP, including maintaining communication with the IB offices and handling all necessary documentation. Curriculum and Teaching Curriculum Development: Collaborate with teachers to develop and review the curriculum, ensuring it aligns with IB requirements. Teacher Support: Provide support and professional development for teachers, including organizing workshops and meetings. Teaching Load: Carry a partial teaching load in an IB DP subject Examinations Examination Management: Ensure students are registered for exams, manage the conduct of exams, and handle the distribution of results Internal Assessments: Oversee the submission of internal assessment materials to examiners Student Support Student Records: Maintain accurate student records and support students in their academic journey Counseling: Work closely with college counselors to support students' post-secondary planning Leadership and Collaboration Leadership: Provide pedagogical leadership for the IB DP team and contribute to the school's overall development. Collaboration: Work closely with other coordinators (CAS, Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge) to ensure efficient administration of these components.
