WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Proposal Bid Manager
Leaf Space is seeking an Institutional Bid Manager to support the company on funding opportunities issued by institutional organizations (e.g., space agencies, national and local governments, European, Italian, and regional organizations). These opportunities are vital for supporting Leaf Space's service and product development roadmap, providing necessary resources, and selling its ground segment services for missions financed or promoted by institutional entities. The Institutional Bid Manager is responsible for the full bidding process, from opportunity identification to contract signing, with a focus on planning, executing the offer, and managing interactions with internal departments and external partners. Networking with relevant customers and stakeholders, especially from the institutional market, is crucial to anticipate funding opportunities.
Responsibilities

Identify opportunities within the institutional market for product development financing and service sales.
Manage participation in institutional bidding opportunities, responsible for proposal delivery and coordinating the proposal team.
Analyze, plan, and execute offers, managing interactions with internal departments and partners.
Engage with final customers to understand their needs and incorporate them into proposals.
Liaise with bid consortium members for their contributions.
Prepare and maintain proposal templates and keep records of all bid documentation.
Collaborate with administrative and Program Management departments for bureaucratic tasks and proposal drafting.
Ensure compliance with company processes, customer requests, and strategic goals, meeting deadlines across bid phases.
Work with business development and sales teams to create synergies between commercial and institutional areas.
Maintain the company CRM for RD funding opportunities and institutional sales.
Monitor market and competitor strategies to optimize offer quality and analyze results.
Contribute to service development, business development, sales, and marketing strategies.

Qualifications and Requirements

University degree in Engineering, Economics, Physics, Business, IT, or relevant disciplines; Aerospace/Space education is preferred.
Proactive, able to work in international teams and independently.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Proficient in Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Capable of managing demanding workloads and working under pressure.
Sales-oriented attitude.
2-3 years of experience in business development, marketing, sales in institutional environments, focusing on technological services.
Knowledge of the space market and macro-economy principles.
Knowledge of System Engineering principles and spacecraft subsystems is a plus.
Excellent proficiency in English; full proficiency in Italian required.

Reports to: Chief Growth Officer and Co-founder
Location: Lomazzo (CO), Italy
Flexible remote work when suitable.
Expected start: May/June 2023.
Job Type: Full-time.
