About the Role
Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing is looking for a highly motivated AI & Automation Intern to join our Central IT Solutions team in Europe.
In this role, you will build real AI and automation solutions used across multiple laboratories, helping transform scientific and operational data into actionable insights.
You will work at the intersection of:
* AI (LLMs, chatbots, data-driven insights)
* Automation (Power Automate, workflows, process optimization)
* Laboratory IT systems (instruments, CDS, KPI data)
This is a hands-on role where you will design, implement, and improve real solutions — not just support.
What You Will Do
AI & Chatbot Development (≈25%)
* Build and improve an AI chatbot (Copilot-based) for central applications
* Use internal documentation and historical data to create intelligent responses (RAG / knowledge base)
* Analyze usage, feedback, and continuously improve performance
* Automate reporting (alerts, usage tracking, insights)
Automation & Data Projects (≈50%)
* Develop automation workflows (e.g., incident alerting, email-triggered actions, process automation)
* Structure and transform laboratory application data for AI/ML use cases
* Work on predictive analytics (e.g., instrument usage, downtime patterns)
* Support AI initiatives such as:
-AI-based document completion
-KPI-based forecasting models
-Monitoring automation (24/7 systems)
Process & Coordination Support (≈25%)
* Act as a "mini project manager" for IT governance processes (ITEA)
* Help stakeholders complete documentation using templates and examples
* Track progress, follow-up, prioritize and escalate when needed
* Improve processes through standardization and automation
Requirements
* Degree (or final year) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or similar
* Strong interest in AI, automation, and digital xrdztoy transformation
* Basic experience in at least one of:
-Python / data analysis (Pandas, Excel, etc.)
-Automation tools (Power Automate, RPA, scripting)
-AI/ML fundamentals or chatbot projects
* Understanding of basic concepts: Data structures / APIs / system integrations
* Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
* Good communication skills in an international environment
No advanced AI experience required — curiosity and willingness to learn are key
Additional Information
* Location: Vimodrone (hybrid – 2 days remote/week)
* Duration: 6 months internship
* Flexible working hours
This is a 6-month internship role with no guaranteed extension, but strong performers may be considered for extension or full-time opportunities.
