Tasks and Responsabilities
Job Title:Equipment Leader – Industrial Assembly Equipment
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Equipment Leader to manage industrial equipment suppliers supporting vehicle assembly processes at the Melfi Plant.
The role focuses on ensuring that all assembly equipment is fully aligned with engineering changes, production requirements and supplier modifications, guaranteeing continuity and efficiency of the assembly process.
The candidate will act as the key interface between Engineering, Production and Industrial Equipment Suppliers.
Main Responsibilities
Management and coordination of industrial equipment suppliers operating in the plant
Technical assessment of engineering changes impacting assembly equipment
Analysis of modifications requested by Engineering or by component/system suppliers
Evaluation of potential impacts on existing assembly tools and equipmentDefinition and activation of required equipment modifications
Coordination with equipment suppliers to implement updates or adjustments
Cost analysis and validation of proposed modifications
Monitoring of timing, implementation and validation phases
Support to production during equipment adaptation or modification phases
Ensuring equipment compliance with safety, quality and production standard
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience in Automotive manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of vehicle assembly processes
Experience managing industrial equipment or tooling suppliers
Ability to assess technical impacts of engineering modifications
Experience in cost evaluation and supplier negotiation
Good knowledge of plant operations and production flow
Strong coordination and communication skills
Problem-solving mindset and decision-making capability
CAD knowledge is not required.
Education
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical background
