To achieve this, we are seeking a Java Spring Boot Developer to join our Transformation Realized™ Consulting practice. Our team is part of EY’s Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe & Central Asia (CESA) cluster, delivering market leading services to organizations across industries in Cyprus and internationally.

Your Key Responsibilities
1. Developing and maintaining cloud-native Java-based microservices
2. Participating in technical solution design and solution architecture definition ensuring security, high-availability, scalability, resiliency, and recoverability
3. Writing and executing unit tests
4. Participating in peer code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge across the team
5. Supporting and performing software deployments and releases
6. Performing root-cause analysis to identify cause of defects and bugs
7. Support, guide, and mentor junior developers
8. Collaborating within the agile team and across the wider project to achieve project and client goals
9. Using observability tools to monitor application performance and making necessary adjustments to improve performance and reliability.
To qualify for the role, you should have
10. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology/Systems or other related field
11. Between 3 to 6 years related work experience
12. Experience with Service Oriented environments and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring, Spring MVC,)
13. Experience implementing cloud-native microservices
14. Experience with source code management, continuous integration and automated deployment
15. Knowledge of securing applications, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
16. Very good knowledge of SQL and DBMS
17. Knowledge of clean code and unit testing
18. Experience implementation software following agile methodologies
19. Strong communication skills
20. Excellent English language verbal and written communication
Ideally you should also have
21. Certificates proving certain skills such as Java, Spring Boot, SQL or related skills
22. Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
23. Experience working with AWS or Azure cloud platforms
24. Experience with events-driven architectures using Kafka or similar technologies
25. Experience using Spring Cloud Config Server or other similar platforms
