Our diversity of skills, talents, and cultures enables our customers (governments, institutions, space agencies, telecommunications operators) to Space to Connect, Secure Defend, Observe Protect, Explore, Travel Navigate.Category Management activities:Perimeter of the position: Electrical Units (sensors and actuators) of AOCS (Attitude Orbit Control System), Power systems, and Power distribution systems for Satellites.Activities include:Negotiating, drafting, implementing, and monitoring contracts with suppliers according to Thales Alenia Space (Terms Conditions) or Customer Contract flow down when applicable.Analyzing business needs and challenges related to the contract perimeter.Managing the Acquisition Process aligned with product strategy until contract signature or Purchase Order issuance.Ensuring fair competition through RFIs and RFPs.Contributing to global category strategies for short, medium, and long term.Monitoring market trends and innovations.Managing Bids and PVET processes and Tender Evaluation Board.Monitoring key players, suppliers, and technological innovations in the market for optimal solutions.Applying category strategy at JV level, defining roadmaps, and engaging stakeholders.Defining Total Cost of Ownership and savings targets.Organizing competitions, assessing, and selecting suppliers in collaboration with entities/countries.Applying transparent procurement processes using relevant tools (e.g., e-ACQ).Implementing purchase contracts, including negotiations, contract signing, communication, and compliance.Managing Price lists, Frame agreements, Co-Development projects, and contributing to Acquisition Plans.Supporting contract execution, managing changes, and participating in Supplier Performance Assessments and Business Reviews.Ensuring compliance with export control, health, safety, environmental regulations, and company policies.Strategy Activities:Defining purchasing strategies at JV level for product portfolios.Leading multi-functional teams as needed.Monitoring supplier panels, market trends, and innovations.Maximizing supplier relationships and developing strategic suppliers.Supporting TAS Road Maps and product development with procurement insights.Managing competitiveness, cost reduction efforts, and supplier selection processes.Maintaining strategic supplier relationships and overseeing key decisions.Job Position for RomeProfile - Essential:Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.Procurement experience in an international environment.Experience in direct purchasing and contract management.Strong relationship skills and fluency in English.Assets:Open-minded, proactive, curious, and eager to develop.Technical and commercial knowledge relevant to materials, processes, and procurement.Team-oriented with availability for short trips.Organizational and change management skills.Knowledge of space sector regulations, certifications, and proposal evaluation.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.At Thales Alenia Space, we offer careers, not just jobs.
