Procurement Ops Specialist, Data Center Services Procurement
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, including data centers and associated equipment. This role supports the Data Center Services Procurement (DCSP) team by helping manage the full supplier lifecycle for construction and related categories.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with procurement category managers to create and support vendor qualifications, requests for proposals, and vendor performance dashboards for construction, professional services, engineering, and related categories.
* Provide input on procurement processes and tools to identify waste and enable innovation across teams.
* Deliver on projects and goals independently and cross‑functionally.
* Manage assigned supplier onboarding and qualification processes.
* Manage assigned tender events and related follow‑on contract generation supporting the Procurement Category Manager.
* Manage post‑contract metrics and audit processes for work awarded.
* Identify dashboard requirements for metrics reporting and opportunities for process improvement, and develop training documentation.
* Monitor and manage purchase requisition process using information provided by business owners and suppliers.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Procurement, Logistics, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Analysis, Construction, or other related fields.
* 3+ years of supply chain management, production planning, capacity planning or manufacturing operations experience.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English, and highly proficient in MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field.
* Experience as procurement/purchasing analyst, or other operational role within a procurement organization.
* Knowledge of software tools used in procurement, proven success in a metrics‑oriented environment and the ability to create, track, analyze and report on metrics.
