Capgemini Engineering is looking for a Packet Core Engineer to integrate a cloud transformation team and support the migration of legacy EPC infrastructure to a cloud‑based architecture.
Hands‑on experience with packet core network components such as SGSN, GGSN, MME, and PGW. Strong understanding of mobile network standards including 4G, 5G, LTE, and VoLTE. Experience with packet core network testing and troubleshooting tools. Proficient in analyzing packet core call flows and signaling protocols. Strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking skills. Ability to integrate and configure packet core network components, ensuring interoperability and compliance with network standards. Capable of analyzing and documenting call flows across various nodes and interfaces in the packet core network. Experience in troubleshooting call flow issues to ensure seamless service delivery and customer experience. Ability to execute comprehensive acceptance test plans for new network elements and services.
Your Profile
Telecommunications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent background. Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in IP Domain. Good knowledge in IP networking protocols such as OSPF, ISIS, MPLS, LDP, L2VPN, L3VPN, and BFD. Understanding of switching technologies including VLAN, STP, RSTP, MSTP, VRRP, and HSRP. Product or vendor knowledge/certification in at least two of the following: Ericsson, Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, F5. Knowledge in IPTEL. Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
