Security Information Specialist, Law Enforcement Information Program — Job ID: 3166343 | Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL (Irish Branch).
The Amazon Security team is seeking a motivated individual to assist the Law Enforcement Information Program with processing information and data requests from law enforcement. You will work closely with the Legal Department to respond to law enforcement requests (e.g., subpoenas, search warrants) from government agencies located in the EU, US, and worldwide. The role requires high judgment and the ability to handle challenging and ambiguous situations while protecting the privacy and security of business and customer information in accordance with applicable laws and internal policies.
The role requires strong ability to operate asynchronously in a globally distributed environment, interfacing with attorneys, technical and non-technical colleagues, and multiple teams to process requests efficiently and securely.
Key responsibilities
* Evaluate and respond accurately to law enforcement requests in a manner consistent with privacy and security requirements, applicable laws, and Amazon Security policies and procedures.
* Utilize a combination of manual and automated tools to compile information potentially responsive to law enforcement requests.
* Communicate verbally and in writing with attorneys, internal partners, service teams, and stakeholders.
* Coordinate with multi-team partners to resolve requests and improve policy, procedures, and tooling.
* Identify patterns and trends from processing law enforcement requests.
* Assist in delivering program metrics and contributing to metrics improvement and overall program process improvements.
* Identify and develop solutions to drive efficiency, reduce pain-points, and minimize manual effort; may include basic scripting (e.g., Python), GenAI, or similar tools and platforms.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree, or experience in a relevant field.
* Experience in making and/or responding to law enforcement requests.
* Cloud certification such as AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect – Associate.
* This role requires you to be a national of an EU member state.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of at least one data-focused technology tool (e.g., Python, SQL, Alteryx, Amazon QuickSight, or similar).
* Experience delivering customer service with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
* Ability to work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and drive projects.
* Experience taking ownership and resolving escalated customer issues.
* Knowledge of core internet technologies (DHCP, DNS, MTA, TCP/IP, network file systems).
* Knowledge of security and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR.
