Ensures the product evolution process from material and design to end product follows guidelines from the creative department.

Meets collection development deadlines. Interprets and balances the needs of style distinctiveness and market indications with brand objectives. Coordinates development of prototypes and samples in collaboration with design, materials research, purchasing and patternmaking teams.

We are currently looking for a Product Development R&D Specialist .
The resource will join the Product Development Department, reporting to the Product Development Operations and R&D Manager. The role is responsible for conducting research, developing new techniques or finding materials to meet market demands and business goals. This includes Pure Research (free supplier and material scouting) and Applied Research (brief-driven) across application areas: Design, develop, and test new materials, processes, or technologies.
Create and test prototypes using 3D software and other modeling tools.
Collaborate with departments such as creativity, engineering and marketing to align R&D efforts with business objectives.
Ensure all R&D activities comply with relevant and internal regulations and ethical standards.
Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Conduct in-depth research to identify market trends, emerging technologies, new materials and innovation opportunities.
Research new suppliers offering innovative and sustainable materials.
Testing & Analysis: Laboratory testing (physical, chemical, waterproofing, durability, resistance) supported by internal lab.
Data Management and Physical Storage: Archiving all physical samples in dedicated storage and digitally managing related data, certificates, and test results through DAM (Digital Asset Management) platform.
Materials handled: approximately an archive of 30 materials.
Master's degree in Materials Engineering, or similar
At least a couple of years of working experience
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to work with 3D design software and Office programs
