And that’s where you come in. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liSupport and coordination during the bid and project development of the technical design of on board systems /li liDefinition of the conceptual solution of the On Board systems based on the requirements and vehicle configuration /li liPreparation of system requirements specifications /li liAnalysis of Suppliers' technical proposals /li liChecking the technical description of the systems /li liVerification of drawings / documents (Electrical, Mechanical, etc.) for installation / integration on board /li liPreparation / verification of functional type test specification / performance test specification /li liSupport during system type tests /li liSupport during the on-board integration test /li liDesign review with Clients and Suppliers /li /ul h3Required Skills / Knowledge /h3 ul liDegree in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering. /li liBasic knowledge of the disciplines related to the On Board Systems design: applicable norms, power demand calculation, main electrical and mechanical configuration, knowledge about main internal components. /li liKnowledge of the main regulations relating to on-board systems in the railway business /li liBasic knowledge of electrics and mechanics is required. /li liRelated knowledge of the basic concepts of the RAMS disciplines is an advantage. /li liKnowledge of the main office automation software/tools (Word, Excel, etc.) /li liRecommended knowledge of electrical/mechanical design software (Autocad, Creo, Catia, etc.) and the IBM DOORS requirements management tool. /li liKnowledge of Engineering Processes and Railway Operations. /li liAbility to work effectively with all levels of the organisation, with the attitude to contribute with constructive and practical ideas. /li liReadiness to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multitasking international environment. /li liAbility to work autonomously in teams and for projects is required. /li liAvailability for short-term national and international business trip. /li /ul h3Desired Skills / Knowledge /h3 ul liAbility to manage and plan the assigned tasks independently and team-working. /li liAbility to analyze business requirements, problem-solving attitude and business process analysis. /li liAbility to face with the different internal functions (internal customer) and external (suppliers, customers, partners). /li liPlanning and organization. /li liVersatile in learning and strong desire to remain up-to-date with changes in technology and best industry practices. /li liStrong business acumen technical skills. /li liGood communication and interpersonal skills. /li liAttitude to work in an international and multi-cultural reality. /li /ul h3Education / Qualifications /h3 pDegree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background. /p h3Languages /h3 pGood knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory. /p pThank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
