Key Responsibilities Collect and translate stakeholder and product requirements into system-level functional specifications Contribute to the design of system architecture, defining interactions between refrigeration circuits, hardware components, control logic and software functions Support the development of new control strategies, ensuring alignment with thermodynamic behaviour and mechanical constraints Participate in system-level testing (MIL/HIL, prototypes), verification activities, failure analysis, FMEA and safety reviews Ensure traceability between requirements, models and implemented control logic in a model-based workflow Collaborate with Product and Software teams to guarantee system coherence and performance Prepare and maintain system documentation, contributing to continuous improvement of software development processes Education & Qualifications Master’s Degree in Software Engineering, Energy Engineering, Automation/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent Good command of written and spoken English Technical Skills Understanding of control systems (PID, logic controls, state machines) Knowledge of refrigeration systems (HVAC/R), thermodynamics and main components Familiarity with systems engineering methodologies and requirements management tools Experience in model-based design (preferably MathWorks/Simulink) Background in automatic machinery, electronic control systems or complex mechatronic systems Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams Soft Skills Strong analytical mindset with a systemic, multidisciplinary approach Proactive communication and collaboration across engineering functions Solid organizational skills and ability to manage priorities and complex information Problem-solving attitude and adaptability Availability for occasional travel for testing or
