Position Overview
Grape Tours is looking for Wine Tour Guides to join our team in Florence, Tuscany, for the 2026 season (April to October).
As a Wine Tour Guide, you will lead small groups of guests (maximum 8 people) on immersive wine tours across Tuscany. You will introduce visitors not only to Tuscan wines, but also to the broader Italian food and lifestyle culture: local cheeses, olive oil, traditional cuisine, terroir, and regional heritage.
You will explain winemaking processes, share cultural insights, and tell the stories behind the landscapes, producers, and traditions.
Your mission: to create an enjoyable, educational, and truly memorable experience for every guest.
You will be responsible for driving one of our company vans to carry out the daily tour programs.
This is an on-site role based in Florence with a contratto a chiamata.
Applicants must already be based in Florence or in the immediate surrounding area.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage small groups of international guests during full-day wine tours
- Deliver engaging explanations about wine, local gastronomy, olive oil, cheese, and Italian lifestyle
- Share insights about sustainability, terroir, and regenerative agriculture
- Ensure guests' safety, comfort, and overall satisfaction
- Drive company vans (9-seat automatic vehicles) safely and responsibly
- Follow the itinerary and program defined by Grape Tours' technical direction
- Answer guests' questions and adapt the experience to their interests while respecting the tour structure
- Respect schedules and timing
Requirements & Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a strong plus)
- Previous experience in wine tourism, food & beverage tourism, or hospitality
- Strong knowledge of Tuscan wine culture and winemaking processes
- Interest and knowledge in Italian cuisine, cheese, olive oil, and lifestyle culture
- Sensitivity to sustainability, local production, and regenerative agriculture is highly appreciated
- Minimum qualification required: Sommelier certification or WSET
- Ability to manage groups and deliver engaging storytelling
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays
- Valid driver's license and authorization to work in Italy
- Confident driving 9-seat vans (automatic) safely
