The role could be based in any of the warehouses in the South Europe Logistics and Transport Zone: Setubal (Spain), Basiano, Bologna, Maddaloni, Bucharest, Hatvan.
Reporting to the Logistics Zone Director.
Mission
As the Logistics Process & Safety Manager for the South Europe zone, you will be the guarantor of operational excellence and standardization.
Your mission is to co-design with Logistics & Safety COE, deploy, and maintain optimal logistics processes that maximize performance while ensuring a safe working environment for all our teammates.
Responsibilities
Standardization and Deployment: Analyze existing logistics processes, identify best practices, and apply Logistics United operational standards for the entire zone's network.
Lead the deployment of these standards across different warehouses and platforms.
Safety and Compliance: Serve as the safety policy relay, ensuring logistics processes and infrastructure meet United standards.
Conduct assessments, identify potential risks, and implement action plans to mitigate them in collaboration with local & United teams.
Performance Management: Co-define with Logistics & Safety COE and track KPIs related to process quality, efficiency, and safety.
Facilitate rituals to ensure rigorous monitoring and continuous improvement toward Operational Excellence.
Support and Training: Contribute to tools and training materials with University teams to help local teams master United Standards, processes and safety rules.
Support training sessions and coach local referents and trainers.
Community Contribution: Share best practices, actively participate in cross-functional projects, and help evolve the culture of safety, standards and continuous improvement within Decathlon's logistics.
Qualifications
Logistics professional with strong expertise in process management, continuous improvement, and operational excellence (at least 5 years of experience).
Significant experience in deploying operational standards in a multi-site or international environment.
In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and regulations.
Master's degree (e.g., IEP, IUP, Bac+4).
Excellent communication and teaching skills; capable of convincing and supporting change.
Capacity to act as a counter-power.
Fluent in English (minimum B2).
