The position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. The Data Center Facility Manager is responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the data center. The Data Center Facility Manager will assist in maintaining a high reliability and performance while keeping operating costs in facilities at a minimum. This equipment supports mission‑critical servers and must maintain better than 99.999% uptime. /p h3Key Job Responsibilities /h3 ul liOversee all aspects of the data center's critical physical infrastructure. Ensure that all work performed within the space is done to high quality and without impact to internal/external customers. /li liManage teams of 24x7 engineering technicians in all facets of their career. /li liEngage in improvement projects, often requiring reaching out to a variety of support teams, and drive them from conception to completion. /li liCoordinate daily with a multitude of third‑party vendors ensuring adherence to contracted SLAs. /li liEffectively and efficiently manage the operations budget and expenditures. /li liRoutinely operate as the afterhours on‑call Data Center Facility Manager for the data centers in the region, responding to any issues within the data centers and managing the investigation, mitigation, and recovery of the issue(s). /li /ul h3A Day in the Life /h3 pAs the Facility Manager, your role demonstrates a strong commitment to prioritizing the development and well‑being of team members, as well as fostering diversity and inclusion. You will oversee all facets of the data center's critical infrastructure with a focus on continuous availability and optimal performance, while upholding high‑quality standards and minimizing any impact on internal and external customers. We pioneered cloud computing and never stopped innovating — that’s why customers from the most successful startups to Global 500 companies trust our robust suite of products and services to power their businesses. /p h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul li2+ years of work in a management position with 5 or more direct reports experience. /li li4+ years of data center or mission‑critical facilities (example: hospital, military facility, public safety facility, etc.), or 2+ years of electrical or mechanical experience. /li liHigh school diploma, or equivalent. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul li5+ years of data center or mission‑critical facilities (example: hospital, military facility, public safety facility, etc.), or 3+ years of data center engineering experience. /li liKnowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations including systems such as feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, chillers, pumps, air handling units, and CRAC units. /li liExperience presenting complex ideas in writing in the form of authoring white papers, proposals, or other formal strategy documents. /li liAdvanced electrical or mechanical certifications (Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline). /li /ul h3Salaries and Benefits /h3 pThe base salary range for this position is $109,600.00 – $160,000.00 annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
