This role is critical in ensuring that supplied components and materials meet quality standards and do not disrupt production. The SQE will act as the first line of defense in identifying, containing, and resolving supplier-related quality issues swiftly and effectively. Responsibilities Lead immediate containment actions for non-conforming supplier materials. Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams to minimize disruption. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Monitor supplier performance for the specific production location - provide input to and collaborate with the SQM to improve overall quality performance of a supplier. Utilize tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, and FMEA to resolve quality issues. Analyze trends in supplier defects and initiate improvement plans. Maintain accurate records of quality issues, investigations, and resolutions. Prepare and present reports on supplier quality performance to internal stakeholders. Work closely with procurement, engineering, production, and QA teams to align on quality expectations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field. 3 years of experience in supplier quality or manufacturing quality engineering. Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, root cause analysis, and CAPA). Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience in a medical environment is a benefit. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrates a hands-on mindset while maintaining strict adherence to quality and safety standards, avoiding unnecessary risks. Preferred Skills Root cause analysis and trend analysis. Experience with ERP and quality management systems (QMS). Familiarity with automotive, electronics industry standards, medical device industry. What’s in it for you?
