Project Manager
Compressors Division, Air & Gas Solutions
Job Summary:
The Project Manager will act within Ingersoll Rand, Air & Gas Solutions Division and will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of multiple projects focused on the EMEIA compression portfolio with particular focus on the Petrochemical, Power Generation and Oil & Gas Industries.
The incumbent will working cross functionally, managing relationships with customers, reporting progress to management, the scheduling of activities, and issues resolution. This position acts as central controller for all order / project related activities, requiring close coordination and consistent communication across the organization. The position requires a leader with effective project management and communication skills along with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
1. Identify and resolve with the team any potential deviations from the approved project plan
2. Managing critical paths to achieve milestone goals
3. Facilitates activities to quickly reach consensus decisions and conflict resolution amongst the team with the guidelines of quality, schedule, cost, and customer requirements
4. Communicate project status, issues, risks, and activities. Chair meetings to lead to final decisions while also maintaining meeting minutes and actions required
5. Effective communication and relationship building with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders
6. Manage cost - Maintain / identify & drive for improvement in cost ratio
7. Ensuring key milestones are met within time and cost constrains, while adhering to proper quality requirements
8. Ensuring goods and deliverables are supplied in accordance to Project requirements
Qualifications:
9. 5+ years’ experience executing major projects with a cross functional team
10. Bachelor’s degree
11. Lean knowledge valued
12. Proven techniques / methods for resolving issues and conflicts
13. This role will execute major projects within Oil & Gas, this experience is a plus
14. Preference for PMP certification but not required
15. Process oriented, self-directed & driven to achieve results
16. Demonstrates excellent verbal, communication, and presentation skills
17. Demonstrates the ability to develop detailed project timelines / schedules
18. High PC proficiency to include Microsoft Projects, Excel, and Word
19. Ability to travel a few days per month
