Goal of function:
The Demand Planner Analyst (m/f/d) will be primarily responsible for developing forecasts and scenarios for customer demand, overseeing the process, and maintaining adequate forecast and inventory levels for all portfolios.
Your responsibilities:
* Forecast product demand to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
* Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, customer service, procurement, and supply chain teams to understand demand drivers.
* Lead planning meetings with key departments to analyze forecasts by product group and drive continuous forecast reviews with stakeholders.
* Coordinate information flow between Global Demand Planning and local teams.
* Monitor and control stock levels, ensuring ongoing follow-up on supply status by provider or production.
* Oversee product forecasts in SAP and manage the IBP statistical demand planning system.
* Provide insights on demand planning performance, forecast accuracy, and inventory levels.
* Recommend improvements to increase forecast efficiency and accuracy.
* Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the demand planning process.
* Identify root causes of shipment issues, assess resulting damage or loss, and manage claims for lost or damaged goods.
* Act as the main contact for the HQ Demand Planning Team.
* Manage products in bottleneck with Product Managers to ensure business continuity.
* Proactively develop alternative plans/options when necessary to minimize the negative impact of supply issues.
Your profile:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Supply Chain, Management Engineering, Business Administration, or similar.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management in multinational companies, ideally in the medical device industry.
* Highly organized and adaptable professional with strong multitasking, analytical, and problem-solving skills; excels at managing high-volume workloads, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining efficiency under pressure.
* Strong quantitative and analytical skills with experience in cross-functional collaboration, project and stakeholder management; able to work independently in fast-paced environments, with knowledge of statistical forecasting as an added advantage.
* Native or bilingual in Italian, with fluent English proficiency (spoken, written, and reading) essential.
* Availability to occasionally travel within the region.
