ECS is a newly established multi-country, multi-brand, omnichannel coffee player within the Lavazza Group. In the context of an ongoing business and digital transformation, we are looking for a Business Data Specialist to act as a key bridge between Business and IT, ensuring data consistency, governance, and value creation across the organization. This role plays a strategic and enabling position in the Group’s Data & AI journey. The Business Data Specialist is Accountable for the Data & AI Strategy & Governance program and for driving the related organizational transformation, ensuring that data becomes a true decision-making asset across all functions and markets. The role requires a strong mix of business acumen, data literacy, stakeholder management, and transformation leadership, operating in a complex, international, and evolving environment.
Responsibilities
* Translate business needs into data and AI requirements and guide teams on data usage and availability.
* Define and lead the Data & AI strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and a shared data structure across the organization.
* Design and implement the roadmap for Data & AI initiatives, coordinating with IT and key stakeholders.
* Promote a Data & AI‑driven culture and cross‑functional collaboration to drive adoption and impact.
* Drive the design of key processes underlying data management for the organization.
* Identify high‑value use cases and monitor results and adoption through key performance indicators.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
* Proven experience in business‑facing data, analytics, or transformation roles within FMCG, Retail, eCommerce, or complex international organizations.
* 3–5 years of experience in similar roles or in complex, matrix‑based environments.
* Strong understanding of data governance, analytics concepts, and AI applications.
* Strong business mindset combined with solid data literacy and direct experience in master data management.
* Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including with senior leadership.
* Strong problem‑solving and structuring capabilities.
* Ability to work in a fast‑paced, evolving organization.
* Proactive, pragmatic, and outcome‑oriented.
* Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving change.
* A collaborative attitude and positive energy.
* Advanced professional English knowledge; Italian, French, and German are a plus.
