F.lli is looking for a Plant Engineer for the Bakery Plant in Castiglione d/S (MN). /ph3Job purpose /h3pReporting to the Technical Area Manager, he/she will ensure the reliability and efficiency of the production and packaging lines, planning and managing the maintenance activities—ordinary, extraordinary, internal and external resources and revamping interventions—proposing the investment projects and the interventions planned in order to maximize the performance of the production lines, guaranteeing the spare parts availability, respecting the plant needs and company guidelines. /ph3Key Accountabilities /h3pManage and implement all the investment under his/her plant's responsibility and collaborate on achieve of the objectives for the projects in charge of the Technical Development. /ppDefine, in support of the Technical Area Manager, the Investment Forecast (CAPEX), evaluating the sustainability in terms of approvals and cash out of the proposed projects. /ppManage and update the technical diagrams and drawings of the new equipment and the upgrading of the existing ones. /ppKeep the registry of the plant assets and the machine lists updated on SAP by managing the disposal of the assets. /ppDefine preventive and predictive maintenance policies, improvement projects and the regulatory compliance of the assets according to the times and costs defined, in collaboration with other business functions involved. /ppDefine, with the Production Manager, PPWM and Maintenance Manager, the lines’ downtimes programmed for installation or start‑up of new equipment, during all the phases of planning. /ppPropose and realize the innovation on the assets of the Plant. /ppIn collaboration with the plant's Energy Manager, autonomously identify areas for improvement to reduce the use of energy vectors, and propose innovative and saving technical solutions. /ppKeep and expand the relationship with existing and potential suppliers, assessing services and offers, to identify technological developments, activities of revamping and new realizations to be implemented in the Plant. /ph3Main Activities /h3pIdentify the areas of improvement of the plants and of the production or packaging equipment, looking, also through activities of scouting and benchmarking and in collaboration with the TAM and the Maintenance Managers, the best technical solutions in order to maximize the efficiency and reliability of the plant. /ppEnsure consistency between the design phases and the industrialisation phase for both new projects and continuous improvement. /ppPropose equipment improvements for the existing assets and, in coordination with the central Engineering, also for the investment in new lines. In particular: /ppProvides support in the definition of maintenance approaches. /ppFollows the acceptance test at the supplier. /ppEnsures the support during the installation, testing and start‑up of the new equipment. /ppRepresents the plant in the projects of new equipment/lines. /ppPromotes the collaboration between Plant and Central Engineering, supporting the central engineering in the design phase of new equipment (definition of lay‑out, technical specifications, efficiency and productivity parameters and in the selection of suppliers) and participating in the project groups from the initial stages. /ppGathers and updates all the technical documentation of the plant (lay‑out, technical documents, safety plan, etc.). /ppManages, in coordination with the purchasing department, the orders for the new equipment/installations. /ppMonitors the use of resources (materials, direct and indirect manpower) through a detailed governance of the investment costs (RCA). /ppCollaborates with the Plant Maintenance Manager in the definition of maintenance policies by supporting area managers in implementing them through the standardisation of tools and methods. /ppEnsures the continuous monitoring of the performance of the equipment, identifying the critical areas and putting in place intervention plans in order to maximise the performance (preventive on condition). /ppMonitors and elaborates maintenance performance indicators to be shared, in an organised and structured manner, with the maintenance teams focusing the action and monitoring plans. /ppCoordinates and oversees the start‑up and ramp‑up of new installations, implementing the necessary technical training plans for all production and maintenance employees. /ph3Requirements /h3ulliMaster Degree in Engineering /liliAt least 2 years of experience in a similar project management role /liliFamiliar with construction sites (preferred) /liliFluency in English both spoken and written (preferred) /liliProblem‑solving attitude /liliPlanning and organisation skills, working autonomously and flexibility /liliDesire for growth and continuous learning /liliTeam‑working, proactivity attitude and interpersonal and cross‑functional skills /li /ulpAt Barilla, we are committed to creating an inclusive and equitable workplace where diversity in all its forms is valued and embraced.
