GRS Recruitment are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to join our clients team in Nicosia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with VAT regulations in both Cyprus and the UK, and assisting with audit preparations. This role will require strong communication skills, as it involves collaborating closely with various internal teams and international colleagues, while also managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
1. Prepare and file VAT returns for businesses in Cyprus and the UK.
2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in compliance with relevant financial regulations.
3. Reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
4. Support the company’s audit preparation process.
5. Generate and provide ad hoc financial reports to management.
6. Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal departments.
7. Coordinate with international colleagues and management.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
8. Previous experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Previous experience using Eurosoft would be advantage
11. Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
12. High attention to detail and exceptional accuracy.
13. Well-organized, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
