Operations Supervisor (Process Assistant), Outbound - Day Shift

We're seeking for an experienced Process Assistant to join the team at our Fulfillment Center in Dandenong on a Wednesday to Saturday day shift.
The Process Assistant will support the Area Manager and hold responsibilities specific to receiving, stowing, picking, packing, or shipping.
Key job responsibilities:
- Support and work in other departments as required
- Help support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings and assigning job duties
- Provide coverage for Area Managers
- Provide policy follow‐up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline)
- Track and report ATS/labor hours
- Assist the floor as an associate resource, train associates, and verify SOP compliance
- Ensure successful area performance through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance
- Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity
- Fully understand workflow and daily production goals
- Assist in keeping the work area clean and organized
- Identify and address safety hazards within the work area
- Coach associates to work safely at all times
- Refer all job injuries immediately to area manager
Basic Qualifications
- Previous experience leading teams
- Experience working within a similar field (manufacturing / distribution / warehousing / large retail)
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members
- Availability to work 38+ hours per week, and overtime as required
- Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership experience directly managing others
- Comfortable lifting up to 16 kilos, standing/walking for 10-12 hours, and frequently pushing, pulling, squatting, bending and reaching, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement
