TXT e-Swiss SA, part of TXT Group, is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our team in Zurich, working fully on-site at the client’s premises. You will contribute to the development of high-performance software solutions for mission-critical, real-time embedded systems in the Defence and Aerospace sector.
Role Overview:
The new TXTer will join the embedded software development team of a key Defence industry client, participating in the design, development, and integration of embedded solutions for critical Defence platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop high-performance embedded software for real-time systems used in radar, optics, and tracking platforms.
Integrate and commission software within complex embedded environments, ensuring system reliability and performance.
Enhance and maintain internal libraries to improve code modularity and quality across projects.
Lead and actively participate in code reviews.
Required Skills:
Strong experience with C and Ada programming, focused on high-performance, real-time embedded systems in safety-critical aerospace and defence applications.
Proficiency in C++ and Qt for developing responsive embedded GUIs, including real-time rendering using C++/QML.
Focus on efficient, reliable, and well-tested code.
Optional Skills:
Experience contributing to structured code reviews.
Strong attention to software quality and engineering standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering.
Professional experience: 3+ years (Middle) or 6+ years (Senior) in embedded software development.
Team-oriented mindset and strong collaboration skills.
Fluency in English.
Full presence at the client site in Zurich is required for this position.
