Artificial Intelligence Engineer We are looking for an Artificial Intelligence Engineer to design and develop trustworthy AI components for various domains at Thales Alenia Space. Responsibilities
Design and develop trustworthy artificial intelligence components for various domains. Identify the right cutting‑edge AI technologies (machine learning, symbolic AI, dialogue) and develop components accordingly. Work on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Natural Language Understanding (NLU) and design multimodal approaches for Human‑Machine Dialog including intention understanding, reasoning and hybrid AI. Work on Machine Learning, causality vs. correlation, and other data‑driven AI techniques such as Random Forest, Evolutionary Algorithms, etc. Work on Symbolic AI, Ontology, Semantic Web, Knowledge‑based Reasoning, Meta‑heuristics, Problem Solving, Operations Research, Decision Making and reasoning. Propose and design approach alternatives. Integrate scientific method into engineering system methodology. Ensure data knowledge and traceability. Ensure continuous technowatch and keep aware of the latest trends (technical, philosophical, ethical by design). Define system capabilities through functional, logical and value analysis, describing functions to meet real user needs across scenarios and maximise product value for the customer.
Qualifications
Graduated from an engineering school with a master’s degree (PhD is a plus). Experience ranging from junior to advanced; can be a student or have held positions such as Algorithm or Software Engineer, Artificial Intelligence Engineer. Strong knowledge in mathematics, algorithms, experiment planning, continuous iterations and agility. Proficient in one of the following AI approaches: data‑driven AI, symbolic AI, hybrid AI, symbolic AI and reasoning, human/machine dialog, systems analysis. Understanding of norms, laws and standards. Knowledge of cybersecurity. Ability to communicate confidently with people from different backgrounds. Mastery of foundational math/statistics concepts and their application to solution studies, e.g., statistical modelling, linear algebra, optimisation, machine learning.
Nice to Have
Working experience on major satellite Earth Observation and Navigation systems. Simulation using tools such as Matlab & Simulink. Adoption of modern Agile and DevOps processes. Knowledge of data analysis and big data technologies. Knowledge of cloud technologies and architectures. Knowledge of edge technologies. Knowledge of object‑oriented programming, especially Python (PyTorch), Java, C ++ and relevant data science packages (numpy, scipy, scikit‑learn, pandas, etc.). Good knowledge of operating systems.
Experience & Compensation Permanent. Experience: 1-7 Years. Salary: €35,884.96 – €43,126.00 plus performance bonus up to €4,025. #J-18808-Ljbffr
