Manager III, Software Dev, Seller and Fulfilment Tech Seller and Fulfillment tech org based out of Bangalore is looking for a Tech leader who will build a confidential suite of products from scratch through a team that they will hire and put in place. This is truly a ground floor opportunity where the leader, along with his team of ingenuous builders, will craft several new products of strategic importance to Amazon. We are seeking self-motivated, innovative and result-oriented tech leader to build and own software systems and products for this new initiative. You will partner with Principals and Senior Engineers to build a new Stack and several independent products on top of it. You will have an opportunity to dream up not just the technology architecture but also how businesses of various sizes and capabilities run their business. This role requires deep technical expertise, excellent leadership principles and ability to hit the ground running. You will be responsible for solving complex problems and build front end and backend services that can scale to millions of requests and be deployed globally delivering an exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for the overall development life cycle of the solution and manage complex projects with significant bottom line impact Work with product managers in developing a strategy and road map to provide compelling capabilities for the seller community on amazon.In marketplace that helps them succeed in their business goals. Work closely with senior engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development. Instill best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules. Project management - prioritization, planning of projects and features, Stakeholder management and tracking of external commitments Operational Excellence - monitoring & operation of production services Career management and development of direct reports Basic Qualifications 3+ years of engineering team management experience 7+ years of engineering experience 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations Experience partnering with product or program management teams Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems Preferred Qualifications Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
