The Job:
As an Assistant Controller, you'll be part of our Finance team at the Gemonio Plant, supporting the Plant Controller and the business in driving operational excellence and informed decision-making
You'll get to:
Collaborate in the creation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and weekly outlooks.
Work closely with the management team to review new projects and track their progress.
Partner with the Costing team and local engineers to update product costing.
Support the Plant Manager by preparing monthly expense analyses.
Prepare weekly activity reports for the plant, focusing on productivity and efficiency analysis (supported by Payroll reporting) to enable informed business decisions and drive achievement of operational targets.
Work together with the Purchasing Manager to control the accounting registry of goods receipts for services and supplies.
Support the Tax & Statutory team by providing sales invoices for SDI upload, assisting with alignment between US and Italian Balance Sheets, and helping complete ISTAT forms (monthly and annual).
Provide support during the annual stock take.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the standard cost methodology for site production, analysing the impact of changes related to new product development, raw material purchases, labor costs, and various production processes.
Support the Plant Controller in the creation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and weekly outlooks.
Control CAPEX and OPEX.
Support extraordinary activities such as annual physical inventory, fixed asset inventory, processing documentation for disposal/sale operations of plant assets, Excess & Obsolete analyses, and annual balance sheet reviews.
Asset tagging and control.
Prepare reports to analyse variances between standard and actual production costs.
Assist management in evaluating the feasibility of major investment projects and preparing presentations for Corporate review.
Conduct monthly analyses and prepare reports on the performance of production departments and key company KPIs.
Support pre-close and month-end close activities.
Complete ISTAT reports.
Attend staff meetings.
The Person:

You also have:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in controlling, finance, or accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills, knowledge of SAP
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Knowledge of Italian accounting standards and statutory requirements is preferred.
Fluent in Italian and English is a must have
