Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.Key Responsibilities Corporate Governance Maintain legal compliance of each subsidiary (e.G., GmbH, SARL, LLC, SàRL, SAS)Manage board resolutions, shareholder agreements, and entity recordsOversee intercompany agreements and cross-border structuringCoordinate with external counsel for local filingEmployment Law & HR Compliance Draft employment contracts and internal policies per jurisdictionEnsure compliance with local labor laws (e.G., Betriebsrat, CSE, UAE reforms)Handle investigations, terminations, and whistleblower casesManage union relations and collective bargaining (France, Germany, Italy)Regulatory & Operational Compliance Monitor legal changes across sectors (e.G., space law, export controls)Oversee GDPR and data protection (EU, UAE, US)Lead internal audits and compliance trainingRespond to regulatory inquiries and inspectionsRisk Management & Ethics Lead internal investigations, whistleblower protocols, and compliance reviewsDesign and implement anti-corruption, anti-bribery, and ethical conduct policiesAdvise on reputational risk and crisis responsePromote a culture of integrity and accountability across all business unitsCommercial Contracts & Transactions Draft and negotiate supplier, customer, and partnership agreementsImplement milestone-based invoicing and performance clausesManage dispute resolution and enforceability across jurisdictionsStrategic Legal Advisory Counsel CEO and executives on legal risks and opportunitiesSupport international expansion and joint venturesAlign legal strategy with business goalsTranslate complex legal frameworks into actionable guidanceWhat We Would Love To See From You In the role of General Counsel, ideally, you will have the following:Juris Doctor or equivalent legal degree; admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction15+ years of legal experience in multinational environmentsExpertise in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and ethicsStrong command of EU, US, and UAE legal frameworksMultilingual proficiency and cross-cultural communication skillsStrategic thinker with high emotional intelligence and ethical leadershipWhy you should join us!
