The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.#LI-HybridThe RoleThe Grid Connection Manager will be part of the Energy Asset Development Team and will report to the Head of Project Development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the entire grid connection process with the TSO or DNO, from the grid connection request to the energy activation of the plant. The candidate will manage all connection aspects related to our renewable energy projects (solar, wind and storage). They will serve as the primary contact for relations with electricity grid operators at Wood. It will take all of us working together to deliver solutions to the world's most critical challenges.ExpectedRelevant Engineering DegreeProven and consolidated experience and understanding with regards to all necessary steps for connecting Renewable Energy Plants to both National Transmission and Distribution Grid, from the initial application to the commissioning of the plant, for both HV and MV grid connection requests in Italy as well as possessing a sound understanding of the grid connection Italian standards and regulations (i.e. TICA, Grid Code and so forth)Proven experience in managing, for the whole design process, all main Italian Grid related portals (MyTerna, e-Distribuzione, Gaudì)Proven Experience in development within the Renewable Energy industry is strongly preferredStrong capacity in creating and managing relationships with internal departments, external stakeholders and specifically TSO/DSO; a consolidated network with TSO/DSO representatives is considered a plus.Support the Head of Project Development, during the technical meetings with TSO/DSO.Fluency in Italian and English.Flexibility, interdisciplinary teamwork skills and willingness to travel when requiredStrong proactivity, self-motivation, result-oriented attitude, ability to work without supervisionAbility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and to manage multiple projects at the same timeAbility to receive empowerment and autonomyAbility to coach and lead own team membersExcellent organizational and time management skillsDesirable+5 years' experience in the same or similar roleAbility to effectively network within the renewable energy community and establish connections that may lead to future project opportunities.Strong and diplomatic relationship with institutional partnersSense of synthesis and pragmaticPublic Speaking and Presentation SkillThe key objectives for this role are:Managing both HV and MV grid connection applications throughout the whole design process as defined in the Grid Code (Codice di Rete)Being responsible for managing both DSO and TSO grid connection portals (MyTerna, e-distribuzione, Gaudì)Being responsible for leading the process for developing and closing any required HV sharing and connection agreement, Technical Approvals (Benestari), as well as Operating Rules and Conditions (Regolamento di Esercizio)Being focal point with both DSO and TSO representatives, by means of regular meetings, proactive engagement (also in person when required) to agree on project optimization strategies (in terms of project timing and efficient technical solutions)Coordinating on daily basis with internal Technical Departments (Development Areas, Engineering and Construction) and managing both internal and external stakeholders for any relevant topic on a project-by-project baseLeading and being responsible for the achievement of all main grid connection milestones, such as Project Connection Request (STMG), Project preparation, project technical approval (Benestare), Final connection Request (STMD) and Connection Contract.
