Experteer Overview
In this role you will shape the content and direction of Nature Materials, a leading multidisciplinary journal in materials science. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams within Nature Portfolio to curate high-impact research and strategic content. You’ll evaluate submissions, guide peer review, and commission diverse formats to engage the broader scientific community. This position offers international exposure and opportunities to influence how advances in materials science are communicated and understood.

* Handle original research papers and oversee peer review with editor teams
* Make well-reasoned editorial decisions based on expert input
* Contribute to content and strategy for Nature Materials and Nature Portfolio
* Commission and edit content such as Reviews, Perspectives, News & Views, Comments, or Editorials
* Liaise with editors at other journals in the Nature family and with scientific experts

Responsabilità
* PhD in materials science or related topic
* Additional research experience valuable
* Broad understanding of recent trends and developments in the field
* Passion for science and willingness to learn and explore beyond specialty
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent English (written and spoken)
* Ability to read and assess novelty, context, and implications of research across areas
* Willingness to travel and meet scientists worldwide
* Editorial experience is not required but welcomed for Senior Editor
