The Opportunity
A leading international contractor delivering large-scale data centre projects across Europe is seeking Design Coordinators to join a major live scheme in Milan.
We are recruiting for two key disciplines:
* Design Coordinator – MEP
* Design Coordinator – CSA
These roles will support the Design Manager and project delivery team, ensuring design information is coordinated, technically robust and aligned with programme requirements on a fast-track mission-critical project.
Design Coordinator – MEP
Suitable for candidates with experience coordinating mechanical and/or electrical design packages on complex construction projects.
Key Experience:
* Mechanical systems (HVAC, cooling, pipework)
* Electrical systems (LV/MV, power distribution, switchgear)
* BMS, ICT and specialist data centre systems preferred
* Coordination between consultants, subcontractors and site teams
Responsibilities:
* Review and coordinate MEP design information prior to construction
* Manage RFIs and technical queries
* Ensure design is aligned with programme and procurement schedules
* Coordinate clash detection and design workshops
* Liaise between consultants, subcontractors and construction teams
* Monitor design deliverables and ensure timely issuance
Design Coordinator – CSA
Suitable for candidates with experience coordinating civil, structural and architectural design packages.
Key Experience:
* Structural design coordination (concrete, steel, superstructure)
* External works and utilities
* Architectural detailing and finishes
* Experience working alongside site and commercial teams
Responsibilities:
* Review and xjrgpwk coordinate CSA design documentation
* Support technical reviews and value engineering exercises
* Manage drawing revisions and design changes
* Coordinate consultants and subcontractor design inputs
* Ensure buildability and compliance with project specifications
* Assist in resolving technical issues during construction
Requirements
* Experience working on data centre or technically complex projects preferred
* Strong understanding of construction sequencing and buildability
* Ability to manage multiple design packages simultaneously
* Good communication and coordination skills
* EU working rights
