Senior Management|Full-Time|Engineering

Come join the new Vestas Blades Process Engineering organization.

This organization is characterized as a co-located & process engineering team focused on developing and supporting the rest of the organization with subject matter experts (SMEs). An organization that embeds engineering skill directly into the manufacturing value stream and enables faster decision-making and deeper process ownership and Knowledge. It all builds on a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.

Responsibility
In your role as director for the Finish & Paint, Root Systems manufacturing process team, your responsibilities will be :

Analysis of AS IS and future state

Build, maintain and implement strategy Plan for the area

Performance Management of Process area including defining, monitoring and providing programs to improve the KPIs and PIs

Creation and management of the Competence Center within the process area

Responsible for Kaizen events within the area

Quantitative approach with use of toolbox – Six Sigma / Lean

Embeds engineering skills directly into the manufacturing value stream.

Enables faster decision-making and deeper Infusion process ownership and Knowledge

Develop standardized manufacturing processes and tool solutions.

Develop, maintain and deliver user-focused manufacturing documentation to the factories.

Ensures repeatability and scalability across internal and external sites.

Attracts and retains highly skilled engineering talent with advanced technical proficiency.

Builds a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.

Engage and collaborate with relevant colleagues and business stakeholders, and ensure your employees do the same, all to solve operational issues and problems with speed and quality, and to develop your area of expertise.

Qualifications

University degree in Master of manufacturing engineering or alike

GB Six Sigma or Advance Manufacturing Process Analysis

Experience

years of experience in similar roles

Prior experience leading a team of specialists, within process engineering or a team of highly skilled employees.

Lived a data & quality driven Manufacturing culture

Built a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.

Worked in a culture where people's development is high on the agenda

Composite materials knowledge, understanding of fiberglass, carbon fiber, epoxy resins, and other materials used in production.

Core competences

End to end process and Product understanding

Can work both on a strategic and tactical level

Embeds engineering skills directly into the manufacturing value stream

Enables faster decision-making and deep process ownership and knowledge

Leverages data analytics and promotes continuous improvement

Focuses on process details and root-cause problem solving, leads direct involvement in technical discussions when required

Develop standardized manufacturing processes and tooling solutions

Ensures repeatability and scalability across internal and external sites

Attracts and retains skilled engineering talent with high-level technical ability

Adept at navigating and working within large organizations

Can be an involved part of cross functional product development projects

Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with Clear and effective communication skills

Good presentation skills both up and down I the organization

You are self-motivated; result-oriented and possess great organizational discipline

You find it exciting and interesting to work with other people in a large organization and can build up an intensive network across cultures and time zones and work with stakeholders

You can work through and with others

You are customer-oriented and can understand the complete business value chain seen from a customer perspective

You are interested and willing to spend time in the factory environment as required to understand and solve problems

You are committed to learning
