PpALLSIDES is a Deep-Tech startup from the European Alpine region with offices in Italy and New York, that secured significant funding in early 2025 (announced under our former name Covision Media) and is experiencing rapid growth. /p pWe’re redefining how the world experiences 3D content. By combining physically accurate scanning and generative AI, we enable new content creation workflows for e-commerce, virtual environments, and immersive experiences. Our clients include global brands like adidas, Meta, Amazon, and Zalando. /p pUsing our own scanners, we’ve built one of the world’s largest datasets of photorealistic, relightable 3D assets with accurate ground truth—capturing at production scale (tens of thousands annually) while simultaneously training next‑generation AI models. Meta uses our scanning technology for their HOT3D dataset (ECCV 2024). We collaborate with Prof. Cremers at TU München, Prof. Rother at Heidelberg University’s Computer Vision Lab, and are advised by Prof. Pietro Perona from Caltech. /p pAs a research‑driven startup and NVIDIA Inception member, we operate at the forefront of 3D machine learning and visual computing. /p pWebsite: /p h3Position Overview /h3 pWe are looking for a Neural Rendering Graphics Engineer with strong foundations in physically‑based rendering and material modeling. You will develop rendering systems that bridge classical graphics with modern neural techniques—building pipelines for accurate BRDF estimation, differentiable light transport, and neural material synthesis. /p pThis role requires someone who thinks deeply about how light interacts with surfaces and can translate that understanding into both forward rendering and inverse problems. If you’re excited about combining graphics research with production systems that serve world‑class clients at scale, this is for you. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign and implement BRDF models and material representations, including neural and diffusion‑based approaches for material acquisition and synthesis. /li liDevelop differentiable rendering pipelines for inverse problems: material decomposition, relighting, and appearance transfer. /li liBuild diffusion‑based rendering pipelines that transform PBR assets into photorealistic imagery. /li liDevelop intrinsic image decomposition models for separating albedo, shading, and material properties from captured images. /li liWork with ML engineers, 3D reconstruction specialists, and software developers to deliver end‑to‑end solutions. /li liStay current with related graphics research; identify opportunities to integrate new methods into production. /li liEngage with enterprise clients to understand rendering requirements across diverse use cases (e-commerce, AR/VR, CGI). /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 bRequired: /b ul liStrong foundation in rendering and graphics research, gained through a PhD or Master’s degree combined with 3+ years of industry experience. /li liProven track record in modern neural rendering techniques (NeRF, neural materials, inverse rendering). /li liDeep understanding of physically‑based rendering: BRDFs (Cook‑Torrance, GGX, measured materials), light transport, global illumination. /li liExperience with differentiable rendering frameworks (Mitsuba 3, nvdiffrast, or similar). /li liProficiency in Python; working knowledge of C++ for graphics pipelines. /li /ul bNice to Have: /b ul liExperience with GPU programming (CUDA, OptiX, or shader languages). /li liBackground in material measurement, gonioreflectometry, or appearance capture. /li liFamiliarity with diffusion models or other generative techniques applied to textures/materials. /li liExperience with real‑time engines (Unreal, Unity) or USD/MaterialX pipelines. /li liPublished work or open‑source contributions in graphics or neural rendering. /li /ul h3What we offer /h3 ul liCompetitive salary package including stock options /li liAmazing office space in the Italian Dolomites /li liPersonal and professional growth: own critical parts of our rendering pipeline and help us scale /li liFlexible working hours and work‑from‑home policy (1 day/week) /li liParticipate in SIGGRAPH, CVPR, and AI/startup conferences globally /li liRelocation assistance and visa sponsorship /li /ul pThis is a full‑time role located on‑site at our Brixen/Dolomites offices (Dolomites, Italy).
