Serious Organised Crime Tactical Advisor (Opal)

What does the Serious Organised Crime Tactical Advisor (Opal) do?
In this role you will collaborate across UK policing with analysts, intelligence development officers, and Lead Responsible Officers to ensure effective information sharing and alignment. You will ensure tactical decisions and investigative steps are documented in accordance with policy to support law enforcement transparency and prosecutorial standards.
What will I need to be considered for the role of Serious Organised Crime Tactical Advisor (Opal)?
Knowledge:
- Degree level of qualification, or possess an equivalent amount of relevant experience.
- Extensive knowledge of police investigations and file preparation for serious crime.
- Current understanding of legal frameworks around indictable offences.
- Experience working directly with CPS and other prosecutorial bodies.
- Strong interpersonal skills for relationship management and training delivery.
- History of successful multi-agency collaboration.
