They build these solutions, using ML, GenAI and related AWS ML services as core component to solve the customer issues. They also work with their teammates such as AI/ML Engineers and Application Developers to bring these solutions to a production ready level. They are passionate about setting innovative goals and providing technical solutions to achieve them. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ul liAccurately understand the customer’s business challenges and needs, structure the problems and organise them as business requirements. /li liExtract the IT requirements necessary to realise the business requirements and select candidate AI/ML services and algorithms. In addition, you will work with specialist roles in related technical fields to build and verify ML solutions, and help develop an architecture that combines the necessary AWS services for achieving the customer’s goals. /li liAssist our customer on developing ML and GenAI projects from start to finish, providing technical sales support, conducting exploratory data analysis, building and validating ML and/or GenAI solutions, deploying validated solutions on their supporting infrastructure, and providing training to our customers. /li liCollaborate with ML Engineers, Cloud Architect and Application Developer to build a production ready ML or GenAI solution. /li liSupport the above by working with a wide range of IT tools, including AWS services (e.g. Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Sagemaker, Amazon AgentCore), Git and Docker, as well as a range of ML and GenAI framework such as Strands‑Agents, pytorch, transformers, etc. /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in fields such as machine learning, operations research, applied mathematics, engineering or natural science /li li5 to 8 years of experience as a data scientist with experience building ML models and prompting GenAI models /li liExperience with AWS or similar cloud technologies /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liMaster’s degree in computer science, machine learning, operations research, statistics, mathematics, or other fields /li liDeep technical skills and business savvy, able to collaborate with a wide range of clients, from executives to engineers /li liSkills in creating experimental and analytical plans for data modelling processes, and the ability to accurately determine cause-and-effect relationships using baselines. /li liExperience consulting with customers (including user departments) on their AI and GenAI needs. /li /ul pAcknowledgement of country: In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
