We are looking for a highly experienced Senior ABAP Developer to join the EY Advisory Team on a subcontracting basis. This role is offered as a fixed-term 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension to another 6 months.

Key responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and deliver robust technical solutions using ABAP within the SAP environment
2. Lead the development and customization of SAP applications, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF)
3. Perform advanced unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure high-quality and scalable solutions
4. Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including functional specifications, technical designs, and system documentation
5. Support and contribute to SAP system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, providing expert-level troubleshooting and technical guidance
6. Collaborate closely with functional consultants, technical teams, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules and external systems
7. Provide guidance and knowledge-sharing to less experienced developers when required
Required qualifications
8. BSc in Computer Science or a related field
9. Minimum of 5 years of proven, hands-on experience in ABAP development
10. Strong and in-depth understanding of SAP architecture, development standards, and best practices
11. Solid experience with debugging, performance tuning, and complex ABAP developments
12. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
13. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced consulting environment

It will be a plus if you have
19. Experience with SAP HANA, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, or other modern SAP technologies
20. SAP ABAP certification or other relevant SAP certifications
21. Prior experience working in consulting or professional services environments
