High Voltage Battery Design Engineer
to support the development of an advanced automotive battery system during a vehicle development program. The role combines detailed design of high-voltage connections and junction systems with creation and release of manufacturing-ready 2D drawings to support prototype builds and production preparation.
Design and develop high-voltage battery connection systems, including HV junction boxes, module-to-HVJB connections, signal routing, and high-voltage current paths to the vehicle interface.
Define positioning, interfaces, and types of electrical connections within the battery system, ensuring alignment with vehicle integration requirements.
Produce and release 3D designs and 2D drawings to support prototype builds, supplier quoting, manufacturing, and component verification.
Perform creepage and clearance analysis, contribute to component specifications, and support FMEA activities to identify potential failure modes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and suppliers to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and serviceability.
Degree in Engineering (Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
Experience in automotive engineering, preferably in high-voltage battery systems .
Experience producing 3D designs and detailed 2D drawings for prototype and production environments.
