Together, we take ownership for what we do — whether supporting IT infrastructure, developing new technology in‑house, launching a new Amazon Operations facility, or delighting our customers by delivering packages directly to them. /p h3About the Role /h3 pAs an IT Support Engineer II, you will use your technical knowledge and specialized skills to support, build, implement, and improve technology solutions across sites in a defined geographical area. You will manage large projects with minimal guidance that affect multiple locations in a region, resolve customer issues in times of crisis, and expand your scope of knowledge by learning about software design patterns, data structures, AWS technologies, and distributed systems concepts. /p h3What Do We Offer /h3 pAmazon offers competitive compensation packages including comprehensive healthcare benefits starting on Day 1, matching 401(k) program, and up to 20 weeks of paid parental leave. We also have a casual dress code at each of our locations (jeans, t-shirts, safety shoes and at times a neon safety vest will be your daily outfit). /p h3Key Job Responsibilities /h3 ul liTroubleshoot difficult IT problems without SOPs; plan and coordinate CMs and CM templates. /li liCollaborate with internal teams or vendors to execute projects. /li liLead continuous improvement efforts. /li liAudit the quality of work performed and provide constructive feedback when necessary. /li liAutomate manual tasks; create or improve small tools that help make team operations more efficient. /li liServe as the first point of escalation. /li liParticipate in hiring, training, and development of others. /li liSupport customers from multiple buildings in the area, as well as remote customers. /li liTravel within your local or regional area to support our customers. /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul li3+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience. /li li4+ years of IT systems or relevant commercial production environment experience. /li li4+ years of networking experience (e.g., DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP). /li li4+ years of Microsoft administration, Linux administration, or Cisco IOS (CLI) experience. /li li4+ years of troubleshooting in a multi‑user high availability environment. /li li4+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation experience. /li liHigh school or equivalent diploma. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul li3+ years of supporting a Windows server environment. /li liExperience supporting video conference and teleconference equipment. /li /ul pAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $54,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $122,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
