Ph3Job Description Summary /h3 pWithin the L5 Component Repair Insourcing Program, the Engineer – Special Process will be responsible to support with the site special process with a focus of Welding, Brazing and Heat Treat. She/he will deal with technical specifications, purchase and industrialization of such technologies within the AAJV Global Shops Network. /p h3Job Description /h3 pShort term, Special Process Engineer shall: /p ul liOn the Job training and supporting other Special process Engineers with ongoing projects. /li /ul h3Long Term, Special Process Engineer Shall /h3 ul liBe the Subject Matter Expert for welding and heat treatment special processes for the AAJV L5 Global Shops Network. /li liWork with Special Process Engineers and Repair Engineers to implement new process throughout the AAJV Global Shop Network. /li /ul pShe/he will report to the Process Engineering Manager. /p h3Essential Functions /h3 ul liSpecial process expert for the Mesagne site. Be a Technical reference point for all the special processes and NTI (new technology introduction). /li liDefine Engineering Spec to purchase Equipment, as per routings defined by Repair Engineering. /li liTechnical selection of Farm-out company (Mesagne and Avenza) to support business continuity plan and manage load peaks. /li liTechnical selection/alignment of different Equipment suppliers. /li liIndustrialization of everything connected with the NTI. /li liWriting and Maintaining of Operative Procedures for Special Process Operations. /li liSupport Repair Engineers with repairs and special processes work instructions. /li liSupport the roll-out and industrialization of L5 Special Process and Repairs. /li liContinuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machining accuracy, efficiency, and overall quality. /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liDegree in Mechanical Engineering or High-School Diploma with proven significant experience in welding, brazing and heat treatment; or equivalent experience. /li liProven experience with Welding, Brazing or Heat Treatment. /li liFluency in English and Italian, in writing and speaking. /li liCapability and experience to work with local and remote resources, merging people from different locations as needed to close complex projects in due time. /li liPrevious experience in technical selection of new equipment / Industrialization. /li /ul h3Desired Characteristics /h3 ul liProven years of experience in component manufacturing or repair and overhaul environment with one or more of the following turbo-machinery: Aeroderivative gas turbine, Heavy Duty gas turbines. /li liExtensive experience within GE / BH repair business. /li liCapability to prioritize business requirements and to efficiently manage assigned budgets. /li liFull availability to travel for business purposes worldwide (up to 20%). /li liThe ability to train in Florence (Italy) and Avenza (Italy). /li /ul h3Additional Information /h3 pRelocation Assistance Provided: No /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
