Nexta launches Aerion: a new biomethane platform
We are pleased to share that Nexta Capital Partners is currently working on the creation of Aerion, a new company focused on the development, construction and operation of biomethane plants.
This initiative is being developed in partnership with a leading financial investor, who will hold a majority stake, confirming both the strong attractiveness of the sector and the robustness of the underlying industrial strategy.
Aerion will play a central role across the entire value chain — from plant construction through to operational management — with the objective of building a scalable and sustainable industrial platform over the long term.
We are looking for an Biomethane Asset Manger with experience in the energy/infrastructure sector, motivated to contribute to the growth of an ambitious platform in the energy transition space.

Aerion, a newly established biomethane platform backed by a leading infrastructure fund, is seeking an Biomethane Asset Manager to oversee the operational and financial performance of its portfolio of assets.
Location: Milan (with regular travel to plant sites)
Role Overview: The Biomethane Asset Manager will be responsible for maximizing asset value across the lifecycle, ensuring alignment between operational performance, financial outcomes, and investor expectations. The role will act as the key interface between operations, technical teams, and financial stakeholders, driving performance optimization and risk management at both asset and portfolio level.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and optimize operational and financial performance of assets (production, costs, EBITDA)
* Oversee O&M providers and ensure compliance with contractual KPIs and performance targets
* Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis at SPV and portfolio level
* Ensure compliance with lender requirements, covenants, and reporting obligations
* Identify and implement value creation initiatives (efficiency improvements, cost optimization)
* Coordinate with technical and finance teams to support decision-making and asset optimization
* Support investment team and fund with performance reporting and strategic insights
Profile
* Degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics or related fields
* 5–10+ years’ experience in asset management, infrastructure, energy or project finance environments
* Strong understanding of SPV structures, O&M contracts, and performance KPIs
* Solid analytical and financial modelling skills
* Hands-on approach, strong problem-solving and stakeholder management capabilities
* Leadership and People management
* Fluency in English; French is considered a plus
