Production Manager
Position Objectives:
The Production Manager will oversee all manufacturing operations on site, ensuring production targets are met efficiently while fostering the professional growth of Shift and Team Leaders.
Key Responsibilities
* Operations Management: Organize and manage plant production, providing leadership, coordination, and mentoring to Shift Leaders and Team Leaders.
* Production Oversight: Monitor the execution of production schedules, implement corrective actions, and provide regular updates to the Plant Manager.
* Budget & Efficiency Control: Ensure production activities align with budget targets, focusing on cycle time optimization, scrap reduction, and waste elimination.
* Resource Planning: Support the Production Planner in optimizing resources, including manpower and equipment.
* Maintenance Synergy: Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to integrate preventive maintenance activities, enhancing department capacity and performance.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Maintain strong relationships with Logistics, Quality, Maintenance, and Technical Services.
* Team Development: Drive team performance and skill sets through proactive training and motivation.
* Quality Standards: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with APG global policies and local regulations.
* HSE Compliance: Guarantee that production activities adhere to health and safety regulations. Actively collaborate with the Plant Manager on all HSE-related initiatives.
* Continuous Improvement: Act as a champion for Lean Production methodologies to drive operational excellence.
Requirements
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Diploma with a strong technical background.
* Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the automotive tier-1 supply chain.
* Safety Knowledge: Solid understanding of workplace Health and Safety regulations.
* Lean Expertise: Proficiency in Lean Production principles and methodologies.
* Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of work cycle definition and cycle time analysis.
* Leadership: Proven track record in managing production departments and leading diverse teams.
