Creative Services and Content SpecialistCategory: Regular Full-TimeClassification: HourlyReports To: Marketing & Communications DirectorPosition SummaryThe Marketing & Communications Designer is responsible for the creative development and execution of the organization's visual brand and marketing materials. This role collaborates across departments to design compelling content that supports programs, events, membership growth, and overall brand visibility, with a strong emphasis on publication production and visual storytelling.Key ResponsibilitiesGraphic Design & Brand Management
Design and produce a wide range of marketing and communications materials, including:
Digital campaigns (email, social media, web)Print collateral (magazines, brochures, flyers, banners)Event and membership materials
Maintain and evolve the organization's brand identity and visual standardsDevelop and enforce a comprehensive Brand Style Guide to ensure consistency across all channelsCollaborate with staff to conceptualize and execute creative solutions aligned with organizational goals
Publications, Advertising & Revenue Support
Lead the design, layout, and production of the organization's bi-monthly magazine, including:
Visual design and layoutCoordination with contributors and advertisersPhotography and content integrationVendor coordination (printing and distribution)Digital publication management
Manage advertising sales for the magazine, including:
Prospecting and securing advertisersManaging advertiser relationshipsExecuting advertising placements
Handle advertising administration, including:
Invoicing and billingTracking payments and ensuring timely collections
Execute Chairman's Circle benefits related to publication and advertising deliverablesSupport production of major annual publications (e.g., business directory, maps), including:
Content coordinationVendor collaborationMember engagement for advertising participation
Photography, Videography & Content Production
Capture, edit, and produce photo and video content for:
Events and programsMarketing campaignsDigital and promotional use
Perform post‐production editing, including photo retouching and video editingMaintain and organize a digital asset library for organizational use
Event & Program Support
Partner with internal teams to design promotional materials for events, programs, and initiativesEnsure timely delivery of creative assets aligned with marketing timelinesProvide on‐site support as needed (photography, branding, signage, etc.)
Social Media Support
Create graphics for social media platformsProvide photo and video assets to support social media and digital marketing effortsCollaborate with marketing team members responsible for posting and strategy
QualificationsEducation & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)2–5+ years of professional design experience preferredProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)Strong understanding of layout, typography, and visual storytellingExperience with print production and publication designBasic to intermediate photography and videography skills, including editingAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‐paced environmentStrong organizational and communication skills
