Work mode: 100% Remote Engagement type: Freelance Must be based in Italy – No sponsorship available We are currently looking for an experienced Network & Security Operations Specialist to support and optimize enterprise network and security infrastructures across legacy and SDN environments. This is a 100% remote and freelance opportunity for professionals who excel in operational environments, enjoy hands‐on troubleshooting, and play a critical role in ensuring network stability, performance, and security. Role Overview In this role, you will be responsible for the day‐to‐day operation of network and security platforms, managing incidents, supporting cybersecurity activities, and continuously improving infrastructure reliability to ensure business continuity. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain network and firewall infrastructure across legacy and SDN environments Troubleshoot connectivity, routing, and security issues Manage and optimize firewall rules, policies, and routing (Check Point, F5) Handle incidents, changes, and service requests in production environments Monitor network performance and support capacity planning activities Support cybersecurity operations and vulnerability analysis Participate in on‐call rotation (1 week per month) Required Skills & Experience Proven experience in network and security infrastructure operations Strong hands‐on expertise with Check Point and F5 firewalls Solid knowledge of Layer 3 routing (Cisco) Experience managing incidents across: Network environments Security environments VPC environments Demonstrated experience in firewall policy cleanup and optimization Engagement Details If you are a network professional looking for a remote freelance role with responsibility, impact, and technical depth, we would be glad to connect. xpavfwm Feel free to apply directly or share this opportunity with your network.
