Senior Asset Manager - Independent Power Producer & Renewable Project Developer - Solar PV & BESS (Utility-Scale)
With significant financial backing from a leading global infrastructure investor and strategic co-investment support from partners such as a global climate investment platform and one of Europe's largest banking groups. The platform is building a robust pipeline of solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery storage (BESS) assets across Italy. Early stages include over 1.4 GW of active solar + storage projects, embedded in a broader development pipeline that positions the company as a next-generation IPP contributing to national decarbonisation and energy security goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the technical and financial performance of solar PV assets, including energy yield, availability, PR and revenue.
* Define and implement optimisation strategies such as revamping, repowering, life extension and potential BESS integration.
* Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets, forecasts and financial modelling inputs.
* Oversee power offtake strategies (PPAs, merchant exposure, regulated mechanisms) in collaboration with energy management teams.
* Negotiate and manage O&M, insurance and technical service contracts; monitor KPIs, SLAs and lead tendering processes.
* Ensure regulatory and contractual compliance and prepare reporting for management, investors and lenders.
* Coordinate cross‐functionally with development, engineering, finance, legal and energy management; mentor junior team members.
Candidate Profile:
* Degree in Engineering (Energy, Electrical, Mechanical or Environmental) or Economics with strong technical and financial grounding.
* Significant experience in renewable energy, specifically managing PV assets within an IPP environment.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical and financial KPIs.
* Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, power markets, PPAs and price exposure management.
* Excellent command of Excel and reporting tools; fluent English.
* Experience with BESS‐integrated PV projects, M&A, refinancing or technical due diligence; relevant certifications.
