Full-time Contract
We are supporting a global technology manufacturer scaling its Design-to-Value capability across major product lines. This role blends deep technical engineering knowledge with strategic cost leadership to help deliver high-performance products at the right cost.
As Senior Design-to-Value Engineer, you will establish and lead the methodology, tools, and practices that drive competitive advantage through smarter design, material selection, and production efficiency.
This is a highly visible role where your work will directly influence product profitability and long-term business success. This is a high-impact position where you will shape a key business capability from the ground up, work closely with senior leadership, and drive measurable improvements in product competitiveness and profitability.
What you will do
• Define and deploy Design-to-Value methodology, governance, and tools across the organization
• Lead cross-functional workshops with R&D, Procurement, Operations, and Quality to identify cost-down and value-up opportunities
• Build and validate bottom-up cost models for key components such as power modules, PCBAs, enclosures, and thermal systems
• Conduct should-cost analysis and benchmark studies to support sourcing and engineering decisions
• Drive initiatives in design simplification, modularization, and standardization to enhance scalability and reduce total cost of ownership
• Collaborate with suppliers to validate cost structures, assess value potential, and support localization or dual-sourcing strategies
• Mentor engineers and develop capability across teams in cost modeling and value engineering principles
What we are looking for
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent)
• Extensive experience (10 years minimum) in cost and value engineering roles, ideally within power electronics or complex industrial systems
• Strong technical understanding of design principles, manufacturing processes, and materials
• Proven experience in cost modeling, should-cost analysis, and design-to-cost or value optimization
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as die casting, injection molding, machining, PCB assembly, and thermal management systems
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Strategic mindset with strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
