Responsible for the reliability and continuous improvement of equipment, machinery, and systems within a facility. Ensures optimal performance of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components across industrial environments. Contributes to operational efficiency, equipment optimization, and automation initiatives to maximize overall performance and productivity.
You will be responsible for
Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment
Overseeing and carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs and installations
Developing maintenance procedures and ensuring implementation
Planning and scheduling planned and unplanned maintenance work
Monitoring equipment inventory and placing orders when necessary
Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
Managing contractors and ensuring they complete works to a satisfactory standard
Diagnosing faults and investigating equipment breakdowns
Advising on equipment upgrades or replacements based on its current condition and operational requirements
Documenting all maintenance and repair work for record‑keeping and future reference
Managing budgets for maintenance‑related expenses
Training maintenance staff and managing their work schedules
Performing root cause analysis on major failures and recommending necessary action to prevent recurrence
You will need to have
Previous experience in roles within the pharmaceutical industry (manufacturing environment)
At least 5 years of professional experience in similar roles
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering/Science (preferred in process engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, automation technology or a similar discipline)
Technical Skills
Advanced certifications in maintenance or relevant field (Preferred)
