As Production Manager, reporting to the Plant Director, you will be responsible for:
* Managing and supervising the entire production process, ensuring adherence to the production schedule and cost effectiveness.
* Managing and supervising the production workforce (both direct and indirect), overseeing skill matrices and training needs in coordination with HR.
* Organizing production resources and defining resource requirements.
* Monitoring production processes and adjusting schedules as needed.
* Ensuring standards and quality control programs are implemented effectively.
* Achieving plant targets related to safety, quality, service levels, and efficiency, in collaboration with other departments such as HSE, quality, logistics, industrial engineering, maintenance, HR, and controlling.
* Leading the Autonomous Management (AM) or Workplace Organization (WO) pillars within the World Class Manufacturing framework.
* Organizing repair and routine maintenance of production equipment performed by the workforce.
* Leading, supervising, and motivating the production team.
Our ideal candidate will have:
* An engineering degree and 5-7 years of experience in similar manufacturing roles.
* Strong skills in people management, team collaboration, coaching, and motivation.
* Proficiency with production management tools such as daily meetings, reporting, problem solving, skill matrix management, 5S, autonomous maintenance, etc.
* Good knowledge of safety and environmental standards applied to production.
* Basic understanding of cost and performance accounting.
* Familiarity with World Class Manufacturing or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
* Basic knowledge of core production processes like metal stamping, welding, enameling, painting, polyurethane injection, assembly, and automation.
* Understanding of Time & Method studies.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under stress and manage deadlines, along with excellent communication skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
* Fluency in Italian and English.
