This role works at the direction of the IT Security Operations Manager and collaborates with others to detect and respond to information security incidents, maintain and follow procedures for security event alerting, and participate in security investigations. The IT Security Operations Analyst II should have familiarity with the principles of network and endpoint security, current threat and attack trends, and a working knowledge of security principles such as defense in depth.Key Job Accountabilities
Adherence to global IT security standards, policies, procedures and principlesLead security investigations to determine root cause, impact and remediation stepsIdentify and analyze malware including global trendsLeadership briefings for any relevant security incidentMonitor all in-place security solutions for efficient and appropriate operationsPerform real-time security log and event analysis taking appropriate action within defined parametersProvide support to other IT teams regarding IT security issuesResearch and analysis of security vulnerabilities and industry security trendsRegular report out of IT security events and incidents along with remediation activitiesServe as an escalation point to other IT security team membersTrain junior team members on relevant information related to the roleWork to continuously improve security documentation in support of the IT security strategyOwnership coordination and overall management of multiple security technologies
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelors - IT or related field or comparable work experience4 to 6 years relevant experienceRequired - CEH, Security+, GIAC, GSEC, or SSCPExperience with SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender, Rapid 7 IDRAbility to work on confidential projects is a must in this role.Energy and passion with an eye towards continuous improvement in self and business processesAbility to effectively work cross-functionally with a proven high level of facilitation skills in a global environmentMust be results orientated with the ability to multi-task, respond to needs quickly and meet deadlinesAbility to self-prioritize and use well established organizational skills and have the ability to work well both independently and as a member of a teamDemonstrates drive, purpose, high engagement and ownership in our high performance culture
